EUROPEAN REVIEW
Eurostat have released figures for population, inflation and agricultural income for 1999. The European Review carried all these stats for 1998. So we present the updated versions
Contrasting the latest figures for real agricultural income in the EU with those for 1998 (see issue 7) shows that there was a continued general decline. Once again there were considerable differences between countries with Denmark again the biggest loser. The position of the U.K. however has improved markedly with the decrease being less than the EU average.
